DoSomething.org is excited to honor Natalie Portman and her charitable contributions at VH1′s Do Something Awards 2010 on Monday, July 19th in Los Angeles. The show will be airing live on VH1 at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM PST from the Hollywood Palladium.
The Do Something Awards will be honoring five nominees under the age of 25 who each have a chance of winning a $100,000 grant for their social action projects, as well as celebrities who have taken initiative in fighting for a cause. Natalie Portman’s many efforts in developing countries, including the Village Banking Campaign, has won her a nomination for the “Do Something Movie Star” category.
The show will also feature celebrity appearances and live performances by Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse, and Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars. Jane Lynch, star of Glee, will be hosting.
